About This Program

History and Founding Story

Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator (ERA) was founded with the vision of becoming New York City's premier technology accelerator. Since its inception, ERA has grown to be the largest program of its kind in NYC, deeply embedded within the city's vibrant tech ecosystem. The accelerator recognized the immense potential of New York as a hub for innovation and sought to create a platform that would connect promising startups with the resources, mentorship, and capital necessary to thrive in this competitive environment. Its consistent growth and the success of its alumni companies underscore its foundational strength and enduring relevance.

Mission and Values

ERA's core mission is to empower early-stage technology companies to achieve rapid growth and market success by leveraging the unique advantages of New York City. The program values a strong, interconnected community, emphasizing the power of its extensive mentor network and the collaborative spirit among its founders. It is committed to fostering innovation, providing unparalleled access to industry leaders, and facilitating significant capital raises for its portfolio companies. ERA seeks out ambitious founders with scalable ideas who can fully capitalize on the NYC opportunity.

Program Structure and Timeline

The ERA program is an intensive accelerator designed to propel startups forward. While a specific duration isn't explicitly stated, accelerators typically run for a few months. The program focuses on rigorous development, strategic guidance, and extensive networking. Companies selected for ERA undergo a transformative period, refining their products, solidifying their business models, and preparing for significant investor engagement. The program culminates in events like Demo Day, where companies present their progress to a wide audience of investors and potential partners, as evidenced by the available Demo Day videos.

Mentorship and Network

One of ERA's most significant assets is its "deepest and strongest mentor network" in NYC, comprising over 500 expert investors, technologists, product specialists, marketers, customer acquisition strategists, sales executives, and more. These mentors span all major industries represented in New York City, providing unparalleled expertise and connections. Startups gain direct access to these leading members of the NYC tech community, receiving tailored advice and strategic introductions. The network extends beyond mentorship to include access to crucial investors, sales prospects, and partners, which is vital for early-stage company growth.

Investment Terms

While the specific investment terms (funding amount and equity taken) are not explicitly detailed on the provided website content, accelerators typically offer a standardized investment in exchange for a percentage of equity. This initial capital, combined with the program's resources, is designed to provide a significant runway for startups to achieve key milestones and attract further investment.

What Makes It Unique

ERA's uniqueness stems from its unparalleled integration into the New York City tech landscape. It boasts NYC's largest and most robust mentor network, providing a competitive edge in terms of access to expertise and capital. The program's focus on companies that can leverage the NYC market as a launchpad for broader success is a distinctive strategic advantage. Furthermore, its impressive track record of over $2 billion raised by alumni and a collective market capitalization exceeding $10 billion speaks volumes about its effectiveness and standing.

Notable Outcomes

ERA has a highly successful track record. Its alumni companies have collectively raised more than $2 billion in investor capital and boast a combined market capitalization exceeding $10 billion. Over 400 startups have gone through the program. Notable alumni include Chicory, Goalsetter, Triplemint, SeamlessDocs, Trendalytics, Bespoke Post, Glia (formerly Salemove), Scentbird, and TripleLift, many of whom have achieved significant milestones and exits, as highlighted by recent news like UserTesting acquiring User Interviews and The Home Depot partnering with Rilla.
