About This Program

History and Founding Story

Future Innovators is an initiative born from the understanding that forcibly displaced people worldwide represent a vast, untapped talent base. The program's mission is deeply personal for some of its advocates, such as Khaled Khan, a venture capitalist and entrepreneur who arrived in New York City as a refugee four decades ago. His journey from displacement to success fuels the program's promise to empower displaced individuals and rewrite their narratives, transforming their potential into global impact.

Mission and Values

The core mission of Future Innovators is to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of displaced individuals, empowering them to become the innovators, leaders, and job creators of tomorrow. The program operates on the belief that talent is universal, but opportunity is not, and aims to bridge this gap by providing essential resources and support. Key values include empowerment, inclusivity, and a commitment to fostering new technology businesses.

Program Structure and Timeline

The Future Innovators program is a part-time, online startup incubator designed with a structured, sequential, step-by-step process for startup growth. It is fully virtual, though in-person networking opportunities are planned for the future. The program spans 14 weeks, divided into three main tracks: Validate, Launch, and Traction. Each track has a weekly focus, covering critical aspects of startup development from initial vision and customer development to revenue models, legal considerations, product development, and fundraising. Participants engage in sprints focusing on research, ideation, testing, iteration, and more. The program culminates in a graduation, followed by post-program onboarding.

Mentorship and Network

Participants benefit from a robust network of experienced startup mentors and investors. The program emphasizes constant feedback, with hundreds of touchpoints designed to guide founders in making crucial early decisions for their businesses. Founders attend over 15 live and interactive sessions with top mentors, advisors, and investors. Beyond direct mentorship, participants join a global network of aspiring founders and technology entrepreneurs from over 100 countries, fostering collaboration and peer support.

Investment Terms

Future Innovators is a 100% free program. There are zero fees or equity considerations for participants, making it highly accessible to displaced individuals who might otherwise face financial barriers to entrepreneurship.

What Makes it Unique

What sets Future Innovators apart is its specific focus on empowering refugees and displaced people in the United States. It addresses a critical need by providing a structured, proven methodology that has launched over 8,900 startups worldwide, tailored for a demographic often overlooked in the tech entrepreneurship ecosystem. The program's commitment to being entirely free, without taking equity, further underscores its dedication to its mission. The integration of a top founder platform with AI tools, resources, guides, and over $2 million in partner deals also provides a significant advantage.

What Participants Can Expect Day-to-Day

Daily activities will likely involve engaging with the online platform, utilizing AI tools and resources, attending live interactive sessions, and working on their startup ideas. A significant portion of their time will be dedicated to customer development, product iteration, and refining their business models based on constant feedback from mentors and peers.
