Launchpad AI Accelerator

Overview and Mission

The Launchpad AI Accelerator is an intensive, virtual, cohort-based initiative created by Launchpad, a startup ecosystem platform that has trained over 130 graduates backed by a 150-plus mentor network. Recognizing that artificial intelligence has fundamentally altered company building, the accelerator aims to demystify AI-native product development for modern entrepreneurs. Its core mission is to enable non-technical and technical innovators to rapidly transition from concept to launch, navigating both the unprecedented opportunities and inherent risks of building in the AI era.

Program Structure and Timeline

Spanning six weeks, the program takes founders from initial idea to a customer-ready minimum viable product (MVP). Cohorts meet virtually on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM ET. The curriculum balances practical AI tool proficiency with core startup mechanics. Key topics include optimizing the modern AI founder stack, mastering 'vibe coding' to quickly ship functional prototypes, testing AI-driven go-to-market strategies, and assessing founder strengths. Sessions also cover technical roadmap development, when and how to hire technical talent, and executing customer discovery tailored for AI-first products.

Mentorship and Network

The accelerator is facilitated by veteran operator Taylor McLemore, who has co-founded AI companies, led AI product teams, and designed accelerators serving more than 1,000 founders. Founders receive dedicated 1-on-1 mentorship alongside peer learning with up to 30 founders per batch. The curriculum is supplemented by fireside chats with both bootstrapped and venture-backed AI founders, as well as active angel and institutional investors from Launchpad's multi-market network.

Terms and Differentiators

Unlike conventional accelerators, Launchpad AI takes zero equity. The financial structure consists of an upfront $750 deposit, followed by a 'pay-what-you-can' completion model with a suggested value of $2,500. Participants gain immediate access to major perks, including partner credits and support from AWS, Google for Startups, HubSpot, Loom, Lovable, and Rho. Operating alumni may also unlock follow-on growth resources and potential capital through Launchpad’s affiliated Ignite Fund.
